Issue is this: When attempting to tender by debit card, RMS simply flies through the pinpad optiion and promptly cancels the receipt.
What has been done so far: Have installed a PinPad Verifone 1000se on our RMS install. Pinpad device has been encrypted by processor. We are able to go into the Test option and successfully run the test with the appropiate responses. Therefore device is setup correctly. Have then setup tender type making sure EDC is checked (although greyed out) and done the Z out. Everything appears to be setup correctly to this point. What is missing?

Jeff, Yes, I read another post and noticed that you had to do that. I've tried hitting the Enter key after I swipe the card and the display shows the amount and before the display shows "cancel requested" but haven't been able to time it just right in the 1 nanosecond that it gives me. We are also checking our firewall because it seems we are not even getting out to our processor.
Thanks for the response. Anything else we might try?

field needs on the Bank and Merchant tabs to be filled in for debit | leave the Advanced button alone unless Vital tells you to change it.
We are using the Verifone 1000SE, connected via serial port I did change the message in the config screen, and when we tested the pinpad, saw that my new message did display. Hit enter, entered a PIN and got the DataEvent: Success PIN, etc.
I reset the factory setting today and re-tested in the configure opos, Everything tested A-OK, as above.
We are logged in as an administrator. What should the registry entry look like? I think I saw some info on this before and will go check that out.
The last thing I did today was to check all the EDC config settings. I may have a problem here with the ABA number. Am going to confirm that tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Thanks for your help!
