Pinpad 1000se problem

Aug 02, 2007 2 Replies

We are using the PinPad 1000se with RMS/Point of Sale and unable to successfully test it.

When we test the device, it opens properly and we can press the "Begin EFT" and get "Ready" on the pinpad LCD. When we press "Enable PIN" button, it displays 1.00 AMT. Then we try to enter the pin number.

After typing one one digit on pinpad, it triggers a "Dataevent:Cancel" and cancels the transation and displays "Cancel Requested' on the LCD. Thus, we are unable to enter the full PIN or press the green enter key.

Does anyone know a reason why it would trigger the dataevent after only one digit is entered.

Thank you for any suggestions to solve this problem. Jason

For those interested in solution, I was advised that possible solution is to press Green button after amount is displayed, and then it will prompt user to enter pin. And then press the green button Again.

This is not intuitive for users. Is there a way to eliminate the requirement to press the green button after the amount is displayed and just allow user to enter PIN directly?

I will continue testing this suggestion.
