That can cause problems if your customer decides to buy a second scanned item, but if you _really_ want to do it, change your scanner setup to add an key after the scan.

No, what I meant was a customer wants to buy, say a bottle of pop and a bag of chips. When you scan the pop it will take you to the tender screen. You would then have to escape, then scan the chips, then it will take you back to the tender screen.

We are talking about the same thing, right?

Its different for every scanner. Look in the manual, contact the scanner's manufacturer's website or tech support, or contact your reseller for info on how to.

hi, Jeff: Sorry, I did not make myself clear, I just dont want to hit enter everytime after scanning a bar code of each item. just want to reduce one step and keep scanning other items without hiting enter key. and finally press F12 to tender. Is it possilbe to do this by configuring scanner setting? my barcode scanner is haldheld bar code scanner.

Still a similar issue. Evidently your scanner isn't sending an keystroke after scanning the bar code. Program it to send an keystroke and you're good to go.

If you program 2 keystrokes, it would take you directly to the Tender screen like what I thought you wanted in you first message.
