can not open sql server w/crystal reports

Jun 14, 2006 7 Replies

When trying to run the Register Analysis Report, I get the message "can not open sql server". The other crystal reports seem to be ok. Any ideas?

360,

You'll have to remember that this report came from DRS and is _not_ a RMS report if anyone asks in the future.

Depending on version add-on you got from them, Start | Programs | Digital Retail | DRS Tools | Database | plug in your database info.

If you don't have the Tools menu, look for TenderView | Add POS button | put your database info in

I get the same error.

"End of Day" report from DRS does not work.

I bought it a while ago. The tender report works but the others do not.

I e-mail them about it got some help. Was told that I had to run it from the machine that has the data base on it and not the back office workstation in my office where I want to use it.

I did what they told me to do and still does not work.

They the even stopped responding to my e-mail.

I only bought beacause I was looking for a better consolidated report with more data.

My reports work better but I created 3 od my own.

I enhanced the Register Anly addded missing feilds to match Z Reading

I made a spearate report for taxes for the closing batch at the end of the day

And also a department report. ( Still working on that)

Not a crystal expert

fabiano,

Yep, I just tried them all and they seem to work.

You _must_ run them on the machine that has the database on it, not a workstation.

The files I have are dated 03/31/05.

I have run them on the main machine that has the database on it and they do not work.

The database is on POS 1 and it doesn't work. dll ERRORS

I have even tried it on my own computer at home as a standalone with the rms sample database and a backup store data base and doesn't work. DLL ERRORS

On my Laptop too DLL errors.
