Does anyone know a way to create/add hundreds of new items through an automated way using an excel file as opposed to manually enter each item one by one?
My company sells a clothing line and adds new styles twice a year and each time is probably hundreds of new items. Maybe if there is an automated way using an excel file it'll be easier doing it through the Headquarter module.

There is a utility on mbs that does exactly what you want - I've forgotten the link, however.
It's called the "Store Operations Import Utility" - I've used it to import complete catalogs from my suppliers ....with various levels of success :-)

I have used Excel to import thousands of items. You need to download the import utility to do this. The utility allows you to configure each item on a spread sheet and then to import directly into yoyr database of items.
Can anyone tell me all the different fields that can be imported using the import tool? Like, can one also import the reorder point and restock levels?
