Credit Card transactions causing transaction to time out

Hi, My Customer is using RMS 2.0, once in a while when running a credit card transaction it freezes the software before it prints the receipts and then it comes back with an error message that says "your transaction timed out" and then it is back to the main screen to start a new transaction. Checking the credit card batch the transaction does show up in the batch. However it does not show up in the journal to reprint it. The last time this happened it showed a big box with error message that disappeared quickly and it caused the software to shut down on its own. They are setup with MPS to process credit and gift cards and the RMS database resides in the back office computer. They are on V. 2.0.0116 the hardware is all HP using the RP3000 with XP PRO. out of 40 transactions it happened about three times so far. I did rearrange the pipes where named pipe is first and then TCP/IP is second on both client network and RMS on both computers in the hope it would fix the problem. However when the last time they had a problem with the credit card and ended up coming with the big error message box and shutting the software down it was after rearranging the pipes. I would be thankful with any help on this.
