I changed default currency in the control panel but the change only reflect in Point of Sale Manager. Cash tender in PoS still shows $. How can I effect the change throughout the system?

I tried that and just about every other option that has to do with currency type and tender type to no avail. One thing I'm unable to change is the locale for Nigeria. It is not available in the locale pick list.
When disable the US currency, the tender currency default to Nigeria currency that I added. However the tender field is not taking any input. I need more suggestions please.
