Customers Layaway Account Changes

Here is a problem that Microsoft Store Ops and HQ Customer Service could not solve. I have 3 stores and we create layaways at each store. Since late October we have had some Layaways that changed the customer information over to a new customer. Sometimes the customer?s information is just changed and sometimes it is changed and the original customer gets deleted at HQ also. The items attached to the Layaway are not affected nor are the payments, layaway number, comments or any other information. Only the customer information. This is happening at all 3 stores and is completely sporadic. It has happened with new customers, old customers, many different types of companies and items. We print extra paperwork and file it when we create Layaways so this is how we are catching the problem. I just can?t believe the sometimes it actually deletes the customer completely from the store and HQ. Most of the time it leaves the customer information it just assigns a different customer to the Layaway.

Anyone ever seen or heard of this?
