One of our prospective clients wants to use Microsoft RMS Store Ops however, due to some security issues at their location, they want to use their own networked SQL server without installing RMS on the server. I would assume so, but is it possible to load the RMS Database onto the server without installing the RMS software? If so, how can it be done?

I have not actully done this but there is no reason this wont work so long as they are running sql server 2005 create the database on a pc with rms installed then back it up and copy it to the server and restore it using sql you should then be able to use this as the database.
