Repair of corrupted RMS database?

Hi, we've an RMS database that is showing signs of a corruption. A restored backup of the database on my own PC will not Check without bringing up the following error:

Error-2147213519: System table pre-checks: Object ID 4. Could not read and latch page (1:7180) with latch type SH. Check statement terminated due to unrepairable error.

A Reindex brings up the following:

Error re-indexing database - 2147217900. Could not continue with NOLOCK due to data movement.

On the machine where the database normally resides and where the clients PCs connect to is having problems when running various reports. An Item Movement report disconnects the database and marks it as SUSPECT. Various other reports are doing the same thing now and we're now working with backups (which are obviously corrupted as well) that are being restored on a weekly basis. Here's an error message from the running of a Tax report:

  1. Database connection lost, application will be closed Error #-2147467259. Connection failure (Source: Microsoft OLE DB provider for SQL Server) (SQL State: 08501) (NativeError: 0) No Help file available. SELECT GETDATE() AS CurrentDateTime

  1. Error #-214747259 An inconsistancy was detected during an internal operation in database RMS_DOSGS1 (ID 6) on page (1:19928). Please contact technical support. Reference number 4 (Source: Microsoft OLE DB provider for SQL Server) (SQL Stage HV000) (NativeError 5242) No Help file available

CREATE VIEW DRS_TENDER AS SELECT.... etc etc long SQL statement

Does anyone know if there is a line of communication with Microsoft where we could get this database analysed and possibly repaired? We're talking a year's worth of transactions and over 20,000 items along with aliases. Does anyone know of any SQL tools that might accomplish the same thing?

RMS version is Store Ops 2.0, SP hasn't been applied.

Thanks.

in tHi, Thanks for your response- I'll repost in that forum you suggest and see what happens. I tried those statements within SQL Management Studio Express and they returned pretty much the same errors as the query tool within Store Administrator:

Msg 7985, Level 16, State 2, Line 1 System table pre-checks: Object ID 4. Could not read and latch page (1:7180) with latch type SH. Check statement terminated due to unrepairable error. DBCC results for 'RMS_OSullivansDODGY'. Msg 5233, Level 16, State 106, Line 1 Table error: alloc unit ID 262144, page (1:7180). The test (m_freeCnt =freeCnt) failed. The values are 4948 and 4937. CHECKDB found 0 allocation errors and 1 consistency errors not associated with any single object. CHECKDB found 0 allocation errors and 1 consistency errors in database 'RMS_OSullivansDODGY'.

Ah well, fingers crossed that there is an SQL genius who can help me repair!

Thanks, T.
