flicscanner

Has anyone tried using the flicscanner with RMS?? I can't seem to find a OPOS driver and am hesitant on buying one. However the price is very attractive and it is bluetooth? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We sell an interface for RMS that puts all the functionality of the software

Inventory Transfer-IN Transfer-Out PO Recieving etc..

to a RF PPC2003 Handheld

Any Interest?

HI all!

I have installed 3 of these FLic Scanners (Bluetooth version) at a client.

I have taken them back out as they have a few issues in regards to transactions.

A) Bluetooth sleeps and thus when you scan an item after the device has been asleep it is very slow to get going again.

B) Some environmental issues make the scanner fail to work sometimes.

C) you have to use Alakline recharge batteries and Not NmHi (So in a busy shop the batteries last about 2 - 3 days.)

They look good though.

I am happy to test or help with these as at least there are no cables but the battery life and set up on them sucks bigtime.

Also also to note that the MAC address is not clearly defined on the item and so if you have 2 scanners with 2 POS and you get em mixed up you gotta label them :-(
