HQ Dongle no longer being detected?

Feb 06, 2006 2 Replies

We started out having various issues with our HQ server. it stopped syncing. I reinstalled the software per an MS document I found in the KB.

Now HQ is telling me the following error. "Unable to find the copy protection device (Dongle) in teh last 24 hours. Make sure the dongle is attached to this computer or HQ will stop functioning on or after 2/8/2006.

I have reinstalled/installed the latest Sentinel 7.9 driver. No problems there but RMS is still not seeing the dongle. Any ideas before it expires on Wednesday?

Thanks!

Christine

If it's a USB Dongle, log in as an Administrator, unplug the dongle and plug it back in - it should auto detect and install the driver (if needed).

If it's Parallel, there are some settings for the driver that you may need to tweak - or you may need to muck around in the BIOS a little. Post back if you need more help with a Parrallel dongle, or just search back a couple of weeks - there have been some good posts on configuring parallel dongles recently...
