I have a customer that has Windows Vista installed. Whne he scans an item he has to put scanner down walk over to computer and push the down error to go to next line for new item to be scanned.
The way it is in his other store is he has to just scan an item and it automatically is ready for next item to be scanned..this way is better..other way is time consuming.

The barcode scanner is not programmed to add a carriage return after scanning a barcode. The barcode scanner is programmed by scanning barcodes from the scanner's manual. Ask the customer to scan the barcode in the manual that will append the carriage return (which is the same as hitting "enter") when scanning a barcode.
