Missing Label information

Mar 02, 2009 1 Replies

I've come across a pretty weird issue with one of our registers regarding individual items on a product's label. Regardless of which format you choose in the label wizard, only the barcode is displayed. No description, lookup code, or price. The label looks correct on all of our other registers and systems.

This was expected since the labels are stored and referenced in a single location. I've already checked the Administrator and confirmed that the label path is going to this location. From this register, if you open the Manager and pull up any of the label formats using the label designer, all of the applicable information surrounding the barcode is there. However, running the label wizard produces labels with barcodes only.

I've done a repair of RMS by going to XP's control panel, add/remove programs, and clicked on the support information link. But to no avail. Reinstalling the software on the register did not resolve the issue either.

Any help would be appreciated.

One thing I can tell you is that if the information does not fit in a label field it does not print. Maybe the problem machine is substituting a different font that is causing the problem? You can check this easily by selecting a label and reducing the size of the font way down in any field that is not printing and see if it fixes the problem.
