I'm trying to print labels in 1" by 1/2" stickers i'm using a Zebra s4m printer. my problem is the barcode width is to small and my barcode scanner doesn't read it.
The is a way that i can change the ratio of the barcode so the bars are thicker like in Barcode Laber maker by aulux.

Thats the problem, for getting it to work i have to make the barcode 1.2 inches width which is unacceptable. i want to use MRS to make my labels so i can reduce the mistakes that happen when you are doing it manually in other software(Thats the way we have been doing it.), and for my kind of products i cann't use bigger stickers.
You may need to select a scheme for ItemLookupCode that uses a small all numeric code, then select a barcode format that results in a smaller code.
For example, a 6 - 8 digit numeric code with Code128C format will produce a fairly small barcode. 128C does not support alpha characters.
If you are using the Label Designer to create your labels, you would need to set the barcode format on your items to the one you want to use. In fact, if you just go into Item properties and start changing the barcode formats, RMS will give you a preview of the printed barcodes.
If you are using a text based label format, you select the barcode format in the .lbl file itself - no need to select it in item properties. I'm not familiar with the printer you mentioned, but most zebra printers will work with either type of label format.

A 6 digit code set to format 2 of 5 will produce a barcode that will scan easily on a 1" wide label. If you want to automate the generation of 6 digit item lookup codes assigned to this format, try our AutoGen add-in.
