Multiple Barcodes

I am very New to RMS. IS it possible to set multiple barcodes to a single Item. It is very common to have the same Item with different barcodes but I dont want to set them up as different items.

Yes it is. Go to the properties of the particular item and select the 'Alias' tab. Click 'Add' and type (or scan) the barcode in. You can add any number of barcodes to a single item.

Thanks, One more question, Is it normal procedure to set the Item Look up code to a unique code and then the barcodes as aliases? If so , which Barcode does the system use when printing Shelf Labels?

The ILC must be unique. UPC codes are unique.

I prefer not to use UPC codes as ILCs. If an item has a UPC code, I enter it as an Alias.

For shelf labels, either would work.
