PoS 2009 Bug?

As with RMS, PoS 2009 has a switch that allows or stops the "Insufficient Quantity" options being displayed if an item with 0 or negative inventory is selected in a sale.

This option always shows irrespective of whether I have the option ticked (PoS Settings/Workflow) Display Out of Stock Message.

Is everyone experiencing this problem and is there a fix?
