Tender multiple gift certificates

At my store we have customers that come in with multiple gift certificates to use at once. How do I tender multiple gift certificates? When I try to do it like I would do multiple credit cards it only lets me do one am I missing a step

Beck or Red,

SO Manager | Database | Tender Types | Gift Cert properties | tick Allow multiple entries | Z-out the registers | go for it.
