QB 2006 and Norton Antivirus

Read where Norton antivirus screws up QB files and updates. Has anyone seen a fix for this problem?

We've been using NAV and QB for several years -- no problems with QB files and updates.

NAV has a really bad rep on the (at least)

microsoft.public.windowsxp-general

newsgroup. In addition to causing all manner of problems, up to and including, unseemly hair growth, it's a resource hog. The wizards on that group seem to all recommend AVG as an alternative.

The installation process for software we create and sell demands that NAV be disabled during our software's installation process - we've had too many support calls of problems directly attributable to NAV.

Your experience may vary.
