I need to get a customer list report (customer name address phone etc) from another person who has QB Simple Start into a format useable by MS Excel. I use QB Pro but have no experience at all with QB Simple Start and so I can't tell her how to do this. She can't figure out how to do it. Maybe its easier to transfer her data directly to my version of QB Pro 2003? So, anyone out there with QB Simple Start that can help us?
If you want to help her then advise her to move up to a better version of QuickBooks. Simple Start is a piece of crap. You can't transfer the data to any 2003 version.
However, it still leaves us with the problem of re-keying data manually. If there is truly no way to extract this basic data into a useable format, then I agree, it is a piece of crap.
You get what you pay for.
