What file types can I safely delete?

Apr 20, 2006 2 Replies

I'm just starting on Quickbooks and I spent considerable time screwing up my first few "company" attempts. Now that I think I know what I'm doing, I'd like to remove the unneeded files I created from my hard drive. According to the Help file, I can delete the QBW company file, but I've also found files named after the various companies I've started with the following extensions: QBB, QBW.ND, AND QBW.TLG.

Can I delete these as well, without screwing up the QuickBooks program?

Any info appreciated!

You can delete any file that has a company name as long as its not of a company name you're currently using. Be careful not to delete sample files if you think you may want them later. Be *extremely* careful not to delete the company file you intend to keep working in.

Thank you! That was the response I was hoping for!
