Activate One Step Update

Using Quicken Deluxe 2013. I don't remember exactly what I did but I screwed up the One Step Update for one of my accounts, Capitol One Card Services. So I tried to put it back.

I click "Set Up Download" and enter the User ID and Password. It finds the card, but says "Ignore" on the line with it. When I then click "Next," the dialog box closes, but nothing happened.

Is this my error, a Quicken problem, or is Capitol One having a problem again?

OSU wouldn't process my CapOne credit card for a couple of weeks, so, I logged in to my CapOne account and selected Accounts>Downloads>Download Transaction Activity, then selected Quicken and downloaded two weeks worth of transactions. This seemed to have jogged it loose and OSU has been fine since.

Apparently nobody here know anything about this problem, so I tried calling Capital One.They couldn't help either. Is there an Intuit telephone number or e-mail address that I can use to ask them this question?

There is no single phone number, it depends on several criteria (and there is no email support - just phone and chat).

To contact support, you need to fill out the boxes at the following site. Once you've provided the required info, you'll get directed to the next available support person for your problem.

I forgot to mention this before.

Usually, when you see "Ignore", it is a selection in a dropdown. When that dropdown is active, you can also choose "Add" or "Link". If you already have a Quicken account for the downloaded data, you would choose "Link" from the dropdown, and tell Quicken which existing account to use.

If the dropdown is not active (if "Ignore" can not be changed), perhaps there is something of value in the following discussion.

It wasn't active. The first thing I had tried was trying to change "ignore."

But I took your other advice, and got to speak with someone in New Delhi who was extremely helpful. He told me that I must have two entries for that account (I did, but hadn't realized it). He had me delete one and set up the other one correctly.

It now appears to be fixed. I should know for sure when One Step update finds that transaction, probably tomorrow or the next day.

So thank you very much again.

An update to yesterday's message. Yes, it's fixed.
