One Step Update

Hi,

I'm using windows Quicken 2008 Premium. For the last (approximately) week and a half, when I use one step update - I get a dialog that says the update was successful, but yet I get no downloaded transactions. I have visited my accounts via the bank / card web pages and see where I do have a number of transactions which haven't downloaded. In an attempt to remedy the situation, I deactivated and reactivated the accounts. I get a successful update message but no transactions. This situation is the same for my bank, credit card, and brokerages. I can however send a payment my bank account.

Comments - help, appreciated. Patrick

Hi,

I tried a number of things to resolve this, but I kept coming up with a dialog indicating a successful download and no transactions. I decided to revert to an early April back-up. I've spent an hour or so manually updating the data. Now, I can complete a one step update and download all transactions. Anyway, I'm whole again. But, I am concerned that I don't know what happened to cause the situation.

I've found that doing an individual update on a given account tends to unstick things when One Step Update doesn't work. Not sure why the process is different between the two methods.

There's also an electronic transaction log file buried deep in one of the Qucken directories that has entries for each download attempt. That may shed some light on what is going on.

I'm getting hit with this problem as well with Q2008. The individual update clears things up for my bank accounts, but not for PayPay for some reason. I managed to download my PayPay transactions exactly once -- since then I get the correct amount for the online balance, but none of the transactions.

Thanks for the tip, I'll take a look.
