Anyone from Atlanta area who can help?

I have quite a bit of data which I entered onto an older Quicken program on a computer in another state. I bought Quicken 2008 starter edition, thinking that it would enable me to open the files which I copied from that other computer but I learned that the 2008 version is not compatible with older versions. I don't want to have to buy the software that would enable me to make the conversion from the old software to the new. I just need a kind soul in the Atlanta area who somehow already has that technology and can convert my data into something my 2008 version can recognize. Is there anyone out there who can help me? 404-577-6602. Stephen

The starter edition is a teaser. It is for someone who has never used Quicken and wants to try it out. You'll need to purchase some version of Quicken, preferably of a recent vintage so you can enjoy the online banking features. Otherwise, think spreadsheet.

To state Han's response a little differently,

It's NOT that Q 2008 is incompatible with prior versions ... it's that the "Starter Edition" is incompatible. It's intended for those who have never previously used Q.

No "Starter Edition" can import from any prior version, while ANY of the higher levels can.

And if you don't want' to pay Intuit's prices, take a look on eBay. It's also possible that the higher levels are also on your CD, and can be unlocked by paying a nominal fee to Intuit.

I have several version of older Quicken available to me.

You can send me the file and I'll get them to the current version if you wish.

Then send them back to you.
