Bank one ---> Chase & d/l data

Feb 28, 2006 8 Replies

It seems, unless the websitehas been down, that my previous Bank One data(now Chase) is not downloading to my Quicken file. Can anyone assist in advising how to "edit" download info so that it keeps current? Seems not to have worked since about 2/15 or so. Running PC, XP Pro, Quicken 2006 latest update.

TIA from Yo Yo

I don't know if this will work or not. Have you tried going to chase.com instead of bankone.com? You may have to set up a whole new password and input account numbers, but maybe that will help? I haven't tried it myself, but being a Bank One customer I know that there are two separate websites, even though the Bank One site now carries the Chase branding. Just a guess. Let me know if that helps or not.

Yhanks for the reply.

I can get the data manually from either site. I am trying to get Quicken to do the auto-update like it did before... and continues to do for my checking account with another institution.

I guess what I am trying to do is edit the downloading info to specify Chase rather than Bank One.

Does this make sense???

Deactivate the account for online access (or "transaction download" if using newer version of Quicken). Change the fi name (and customer-id if necessary). If the account offers, and you qualify for, direct download; Activate the account for online access.

Try disabling online access in Quicken for that account only, then reenabling it using the Chase name as the financial institution.

Try the steps I took:

I was switched from Bank One to Chase also. Deactivate you account in quicken, then set it back up and you'll be able to get your direct downloads again.

I didn't have to change anything for the transition to work, but the Financial Institution name didn't change until I disabled/reenabled the account.

Thanks, everyone, for your helpful answers. Mission accomplished. Deactivate, change name, etc. worked (I called Chase's help line and they had the script ready. Evidently they've had MANY calls over the past 10 days or so since they had the changeover.)

And I only had to wait about a minute for a real person to get on the ohone. Kudos to Chase!

Thanks again.
