Cannot add .pdf files as attachments to transactions

Too many users jump to conclusions ... and some of those users make false claims. Not a good way to assist those who want to help.

Fortunately for the original poster in this case, someone saw through the false claim by the original poster, who said: "The file is not in use in another program."

I think there are (at least) two lessons to learn from this particular Community discussion:

1.) do not make claims for which you have no supporting evidence (the Quicken file WAS already in use) 2.) do not allow your emotions to get ahead of your knowledge, and into your problem description (the user was "pretty frustrated" - because the user incorrectly jumped to the conclusion that it was a Quicken problem) [Another thought: for a situation like this on, it "might" have helped to simply close ALL other running programs except Quicken (using Windows Task Manager, if necessary), to try to determine whether there was another program was "using" the Quicken file.]
