Credit card number change problems

Mar 07, 2009 2 Replies

My long standing credit card company, CITI MC, issued me a new credit card number. I edited the account in Q and changed the card number to the new one. When I try to download via web connect, I get a message screen in Q that gives the choice of setting up a new account or "use an existing account".

The problem is that the "use an existing account" choice is grayed out and I can't select it, but that is exactly what I want to do in order to avoid an unwanted extra account. The same problem exists when I try a direct connect.

When I select cancel, an error screen pops up with a [QL-221-A] error code .

Any ideas?

Thanx Marv

Deactivate the Quicken account for downloads. [And you may need to remove the account number, user-id, etc.]

Initiate a download from the credit card company's web site.

[I'm assuming that Web Connect is your normal download method.] [In the future, please include your Quicken year/version.]
