downloading incorrect category??

Have Quicken Premier 2016. Have a Citi Costco credit card. When I download transactions, it shows the same incorrect category - insurance each one. Anyone have a similar problem or have an idea how to correct? If not, is there a tech support number for Quicken?

Categories are not downloaded.

I suggest you start by going to Help > Quicken Help > Search Quicken Help. In the search box, key "how quicken suggests categories", then press Enter (or click the "iSEEK" button). Click on all the right-pointing arrowheads (and any applicable embedded blue text) to expand the contents. Familiarize yourself with Renaming Rules and Memorized Payees.

Also checkout the "During Transaction Download" section at Edit > Preferences > Downloaded transactions. Click the orange circle with the question mark in the middle to get help on "Automatically categorize transactions" and "Automatically apply Quicken's suggested name to payee". Since you're downloading credit card transactions, your unwanted category may be coming from the "Automatically categorize transactions" option.

See also the "Automatically memorize new payees" option at Edit > Preferences > Data entry and QuickFill. Decide whether you want Quicken to do that or not (the option is turned on by default). Memorized payees are the other likely source of categories you don't enter manually: you can modify or delete memorized payees at Tools > Memorized Payee List.
