When I upgraded from 2013 to 2016, it started using my email address instead of the Intuit ID. Occasionally, it wants to send me a 6 digit code that I have to enter in order to complete the login. This for when I select the Turbotax section.
The email address is the default value of a new IntuitID "User ID". We may reset the "User ID" to a unique value at:
So using that, we can set the USERID to anything we want including an email address. Good stuff. Thanks for posting
