OL-226-A error in H&B 2010 One Step Update

Apr 06, 2010 4 Replies

I'm getting an OL-226-A error in my One Step Update. I've removed all my accounts and added them again. The accounts are all working, but I still get the error.

I've been getting it since 2008. I've upgraded twice since, hoping it would resolve. I've tried following the instructions on the self- serve help (removing the QEL file, etc.) on previous versions to no avail. It's really annoying to get the error each time. Any suggestions?

Have you tried completely uninstalling Quicken, Reboot then installing again?

Sometimes there is some garbage in the Quicken folder that is not removed on upgrades.

If there is some leftover garbage, the following may help the reinstall.

I don't have anything very specific.

Have you read the following Intuit kb article on OL-226 ... especially the last part about checking your Connection Log for errors?

have you tried some simple tests.... instead of trying to get everything working...

1 - install Quicken - 2 - create NEW test file to play with 3 - create ONE account - download institutional list & setup

what kind of accounts do you have & which institutions ie - banks, brokerage, credit card, etc -

--- does Quicken work across the Internet connection

4 - try manual download from account website with Q running to receive manual download
