Q07 - Bank of America and 1 Step Update Problem

I am having problems getting my BoA accounts working with Q07's 1 step update. I have four accounts with BoA and I only track two through Quicken. Each account works fine if I update them without using the one step update. If I activate the 1 step update, it logs in and finds the four accounts which then lets me link them to my Quicken accounts (Checking and Savings) or tell Quicken that I don't track the accounts in Quicken.

All seems to be fine, but after doing the 1SU the transactions from both of the tracked accounts are combined into the Savings account. The issue seems to be that when setting up the 1SU, the Checking account gets the account number of the linked savings account. The linked savings account has roughly the same account number but the leading number is a 1 instead of a zero (00012345678 vs. 00002345678).

I've tried disabling and re-enabling the web connect and one step update but the problem always reappears after I try to activate the 1 Step Update. I have a feeling that if I could go into the account number and remove the leading 1 for the checking account, it would work.

Anyone else seen this problem? I've reported it to BoA but haven't heard anything from them to date.

Why can't you change the account number? (When the account is Deactivated for Transaction Download, of course.)

FWIW: I download to BofA; my account numbers are 12 digits, your examples are only 11. May mean nothing, but just in case ....

The problem is that activating the 1 step update puts the wrong number in the Checking account number box and then grays it out so I can't change it. Right now I have 1 step deactivated for the Checking and I can download the account info from the BofA web site into the correct account without any problem.

Every time 1 step update is activated the Checking account number changes to the Savings account number and Quicken doesn't allow it to be edited. I need to reverse the account number change that 1 step update activation does. I don't know if it is possible to do this.

Out of curiosity, do you have account numbers that only differ by the most significant digit? My account #s are also 12 digits. 0000 XXXX XXXX for checking and 0001 XXXX XXXX for savings.

Well that's peculiar. If you do a Web Connect download (one initiated at the fi's web site) to a Quicken account that is not Activated, the Web Connect download should Activate the account.

As far as I know, you can not change that kind of account information when the account is Activated.

No, my two account numbers are not even close, but I think that's because I set up the checking account years after I setup the savings account.

What happens if you create a New Quicken file, and setup just the two BofA accounts, then Activate them for Download.
