Q11 Deluxe vs Premiere

I always backup, make a copy and validate it before updating. The only problems I've ever had updating were when there was a problem in the database that a validate would have found...

I'm with Bert. Up until last year I always got a shrink wrapped copy. Never, ever had anything on it that was useful. I've downloaded last year and this year. Don't miss anything...

I used to do that, also, but for the past several years, the deals really weren't worth waiting....

Thanks John. I am saving this message to refer to when my copy arrives next week.

That seems to be the small, yet general concensus.

On Windows, the "manual" uninstall, via the "Add Or Remove Programs" method, uses the data provided by the application to decide what to remove, and sometimes even uses a specific uninstall program also provided by the application.

If the application was written and configured properly, there should be no difference between the methods.

The last sentence's first word is what I am referring to .... the big "IF". And I certainly agree with you Burt. BUT - that's why other uninstallers that one can buy not only invokes the individual uninstallers, but also captures the system configuration before one installs a program so that it can also clean up the items that are not configured properly for these unremovers.
