Q2004 + pin vault

Have other Quicken2004 users experienced the pin vault losing passwords?

I added a password to a online account in the pin vault, exited/reloaded Quicken and the password as no where to be found...

Any comments or other user experiences or better work arounds are appreciated.

TIA,

Apparently, LOTS of people over the years have had problems with the pin vault. Google the archives and you'll find a whole slew of posts. (Personally, knock on wood, I've *never* had any of the problems and I have a variety of accounts and different types....I wonder what, if any, common factor there is here.)

I appreciate your response. I've been using Quicken since early 90's and the consistent poor qualty control with this program never ceases to amaze me!

Hopefully someone will reply back with a work around.

Thanks,

It's a long standing problem with Quicken. Q05 is close to right, but still reverts to old passwords from time to time. The easiest cure is to delete the PIN Vault and reenter all the passwords.

See Stubby's reply just posted. That's the 'work around' that's most oftened mentioned. More of a meat cleaver approach than a work around, but nothing else (for those who seem to have this problem) has been offered to work.

OK...I'm going to delete the PIN vault and renter the passwords. I appreciate the suggestion!

This took care of the issue...(it wasn't as painful as I thought it might be).

Many thanks!!
