quicken 2004 - vault passwords

For online credit card downloads, I have tried to put in the password in a vault, then clicked done, and it says its saved, but then when you come back in, it did not save. I have repeated this condition a dozen times with the same result.

I have 4 or 5 other various banks, and credit cards and 401k accounts that work and do have the password saved.

What is Quicken's problem?

It's a long standing problem. I can only tell you to think about caching disk pages. Quicken apparently doesn't force changed pages back to the physical disk. So, your edits disappear.

To fix your problem, delete your PINVault. Hopefully you printed the current contents. Get out of QUicken, get back in, run an Update. Quit. Get back in, and create a new PIN Vault. Re enter the passwords. Run and Update. Everything should be OK.

I had the same problem... the solution that worked for me was to delete the pin vault file and create a pin vault (must reenter login and pins). It not as painful as it sounds...rint a report with the passwords and recreate the vault...

Good luck.
