Q2007 with IE7?

Apr 23, 2007 6 Replies

I am running Windows XP Pro SP2, and am looking at making the upgrade from IE6 to IE7.

I download transactions from my bank's website, directly into Quicken. I have contacted my bank, and they state they have no known issues with IE7.

Anyone know of any issues using Quicken with IE7?

Thanks in advance,

Hi, Don.

By now, all banks should have their websites updated for IE7.

A year ago, when IE7 was still in beta, many banks - including mine - refused to let the beta version of IE7 connect. A simple workaround changed my Registry to fool the bank into thinking IE7 was IE6. That was enough. Now, every website should recognize IE7.

There are still issues with some ISPs webmail and other applications that depend on IE. One fix has been to put intuit.com and quicken.com in the "trusted" site.

Which version of Quicken?

One user with Q04 and XP Pro SP2 reported file access problems in Quicken Help when he upgraded to IE7.

I had absolutely no problems with Q06 Prm H&B and XP Media Center SP2 when I upgraded to IE7 a few months ago. I download bank, credit card and brokerage transactions directly into Quicken. But at least one area that I can't vouch for is Quicken Bill Pay, which I don't use.

Q2007.

Sounds good, thanks for the info. I do not use Quicken Bill Pay either, I do that directly from my bank's website. I will give it a try, thanks again,
