Quicken 2008 R3 available

David, I didn't have any problem with this upgrade. I am running the same operating system as you. Good luck!

That's odd. But, now that you mention it, I had no problem installing R2. I had been running Quicken just before the update. I wonder if something didn't release when Quicken closed. I should have tried rebooting and then re-starting Quicken to get the update running.

How is that Cash Flow snapshot? Or the ability to attach notes and receipt images to specific register transactions. Some pretty good stuff you're missing out on, but if your needs aren't very complex, then you may as well stay with the old version. No point getting stressed out over learning new features. If you build up the courage, you can download a 60 day trial for free. I'm using the 2008 trial in parallel with my current 07 version in order to validate necessity of an upgrade. Very little new from 07 to 08, other than a few cosmetic changes.

ok, let's see, if I upgraded Q-Deluxe every year for the past 10 years, that might be about $400 total. I'm not sure how $400 will make or break my retirement.

I've had Q08 completely disappear (crash) during the one-step update, hopefully that's what they're referring to.
