Quicken 2011: viewing reminders at the same time as transactions?

Dec 12, 2010 3 Replies

In 2002 It was possible to have a list of transactions for an account, with a list of reminders appearing at the bottom. This is -always- how I worked - I enter transactions by hand so I'll be sitting with my bank's statement in a browser window and work along the list. Each time I reach a scheduled transaction, I'd just click on it from the list at the bottom of my account.

Can't see a way of creating that view in 2011 - is there an option I'm missing?

Cheers, Ian

In 2010 there is a little black triangle at the bottom right of the transaction list. Try clicking on that. How you get the transactions there may be your problem. For me that's where downloaded or reminder transactions appear, but then there will be a red flag in the account list to "remind" me there are transactions to review.

Possibly.

The latest versions of Quicken have a new option: "Automatically add downloaded transactions to registers".

When that option is selected, there is no "Downloaded transactions" tab or "Bill and Income Reminders" tab at the foot of the account registers.

Unchecking "Automatically add ..." will restore those two tabs, and put any automatically added transactions (that have not been "Reviewed") back into the "Downloaded transactions" tab.

The auto-add option is found at Edit > Preferences > Downloaded transactions.

Bingo - thanks for the help.
