Quicken XG 2006 Canada bug in "Help"

We have recently got Quicken XG 2006 after using 2002 for the last few years. When we go into Help and select an item a box comes up with Runtime Error, do you wish to debug. Various line numbers are shown and it takes 2 to 5 clicks on Yes or No to clear the error. Otherwise the program seems to work fine and has converted our 2002 file without problems.

A Quicken Help person has had us uninstall and reinstall the program in 4 different ways with the same problem continuing.

He now suggests that we have a virus or a faulty Internet Explorer. Norton says no virus and Internet Explorer is version 6 SP2 with all the updates. No problems in any other program or with their Helps.

Any help or advice on this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Bob

I've got Quicken XG 2006 running on XP-SP2, and I can't reproduce your problem. Clicking on pretty much everything in the help section works as expected - no runtime errors.

I know this isn't going to help with your problem, but at least it lets you know that it might be something on your system, rather than a problem with Quicken itself.

Maybe it's an American conspiracy. Canadians tend to think in those terms.
