I don't use the built-in Quicken Help feature very often but today I did, and it seems to be broken. Clicking on "Quicken Help" in the drop-down menus brings up the "Quicken Personal Financial Software Help" window properly. I can select any of the the tabs available - Contents, Index or Search - and that works OK. However, actually selecting a topic to view brings up an Internet Explorer Script Error window - access denied - and selecting either the Yes or No button in the error window results in the right hand pane of the Help program telling me "This program cannot display the webpage."
It's a known problem. The latest Microsoft security patches for IE "broke" the Answerworks help function in Quicken. You can wait for Intuit to release a fix or you can get it yourself from

The following Answer to this problem has just been posted on the Quicken Site. Jon Reinhardt
It is very important for the security of your data that you update Quicken
2008 to the latest release (QW08R5patch). The QW08R5patch includes the important security update. It is just as important that you install the security update supplied by Microsoft. Together, these security updates protect your data against a security vulnerability that Intuit discovered in some Microsoft Windows-based programs.
We have identified a solution for the following products:
a.. Quicken 2008 (Deluxe, Premier, and Home & Business) b.. Quicken 2007 (Starter Edition, Deluxe, Premier, and Home & Business)
To resolve this issue for the above listed products, please complete a One Step Update within the Quicken Product by clicking on Online from the menu bar, and select One Step Update, then click Update Now in the One Step Update Settings window. After the update is complete you will be able to view the help topics once again.
Note: If you have already completed a One Step Update today, you will need to perform another One Step Update tomorrow as the One Step Update only looks for program updates once per day.
If you are using a product other than ones listed above, and use Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, you will find that you are still unable to view the Quicken Help topics. But you can still get all the information right here by searching the Quicken Support site. After selecting your version of Quicken, you can search the same way you search the Help, and you will find the same helpful answers and more.
Thanks.......I think! I would change to another product, given Intuit's rapidly declining customer focus, but every single thing I have purchased in the past 2 years suffers from the same corporate cancer. The customer is not always right anymore; they are just a source of $$$. I just wish there was a better way to convince big companies that their sloppy (non-existent) customer service after the sale will be their ultimate downfall.
What's that? I wanted to buy a printer that also had the ability to scan and print legal size documents. The clerk in the store did not know what legal size paper was!
Well I found the printer I wanted via the web - it was available at the same store in question and I could pick it up without being delivered. I did that and bought a couple of other accessories (ink and such). When I went to the store to pick it up and pay for the transaction - the clerk rang up the charge and handed me the accessories. When I asked for the printer.....
