Recent Failure to Download one Fund's Quote

Sounds like this stock somehow got removed from the download list. Go to Online>One Step Update>Select quotes to download, and ensure there's a check mark next to this symbol.

Thanks, I had checked that and it was still selected (It's a mutual fund). After Updating, the comment after updating notes that 10 of 11 symbols have been updated!

I am having the same problem with XG2005 R2 Canadian. I have about 100 securities and 6 of them don't get Quotes nor Historical Prices when downloading. They are not shown in the One Step Update list, I can add them but after completing the information they still don't appear in the list. I believe this problem occurs when postdated transactions are entered, even after the date comes up these securities are excluded from the downloads. The prices show "est." on the reports and the only entry in the Price History is the book price.

In the canadian version the download option from Yahoo is not available, the link is to Globe Investor (from the Globe & Mail newspaper) but it has no option to download historical prices [I believe]. To use Yahoo we have to download the prices to a CSV file, edit the file to have 3 columns for Symbol, Price and Date and then Import it into Quicken.

My next try is to delete all the posdated transactions and their related securities, I hope this fixes the problem. Thanks.

I believe I've found my own answer. Editing each of the transactions causes these symbols to be added to the list of "downloadable" securities. I didn't have to make any change to the transactions, simply open them and click "Enter", then download quotes or price-history to get the data.

I'll have to remember to do this for postdated transactions. I normally use the "settlement" date for the transactions but I want to see the current picture, this causes the postdates.

If anyone knows how to download Yahoo Price History form within the Canadian Quicken please let me know. Thanks.

As far as I can tell, US versions work the same. I have never heard of a version of Quicken that could "download" prices from Yahoo, or anyone else except the company Intuit contracted with for price downloads (S&P Comstock in the US for current prices; Iverson for historical prices).
