Security list

Q2008D R9 I have hundreds of entries on the security list, many of them stocks that we no longer own. There are also around 150 covered calls on the list, most of which have already expired. I would like to get rid of the expired calls, but if I I delete an entry will the transaction entries also be deleted? If I hide them they will still show on the list, so that will not help. Is there any way that I can actually get them off the security list without losing the transaction information?

Thank you. Caryl

You can't delete a security if there are ANY transactions for it.

If you completely "hide" the securities you don't want to see, you should get what you want. Fully hiding a security takes two steps.

One step is to select the security and click "Hide(x)".

The second step is to insure that "View hidden securities" is unchecked: you'll find that by clicking "Options" at the top of the Security List.

Thanks, John. I had forgotten that I had to do the second step of unchecking "view hidden securities."

Is there a way to select more than one security at a time in the security list? Holding down the shift key does not do this.

Caryl

There is no way I know of to select multiple securities in the Security List.
