I purchased a security a couple months ago, and entered the purchase transaction in Quicken 2006 Premier. For some reason, the security does not appear on my Security List. But when I try to add it as a new security, I get message: You already have a security with that name.
Any idea what the problem might be? All the other securities appear as they should...
You checked the obvious and don't have it marked as HIDDEN, do you, as well as having "View hidden securities" option turned on?

Oops, that was it. Not sure how that happened, since I've never (knowingly) hidden a security, and this is an active security.
Also, when I try the help pages, keep getting message: This program cannot display the webpage. No problems with the internet connection, not sure why this is happening...

Glad to know I helped. I recently changed 401K plan providers (as a lot of folks did in this NG from Hewitt!) , and one of my 'new' 401K securities never showed up in my list - why, I don't know. But that was my problem too after an hour or two trying to figure out where that last security went when all others were there....might have been because of a name change. Not sure.
