Unable to web update from Chase - Solved

So my problem was with my two chase (checking and savings) accounts, formerly WaMu, when attempting to webupdate, Quicken would simply close.

Suggestions from Quicken were initially reinstall (uninstall, run custom Quicken "application" to clean registry, etc), then do it all over again and try in Safe mode. Then to create a new empty quicken file and start over. Still when that didn't work, the instructions were even longer and more specific step by step, involving a number of things that in my opinion wouldn't have been any help.

So just messing around, I changed my Chase online password. It was the maximum of 32 characters - letters and numbers only. I changed it to

12 characters, and it now works fine.

Now I'm about 99% this is a quicken problem, not anything to do with Chase. As soon as the Enter Vault password comes up and I put in my vault password, Quicken crashed. Even with my internet disabled. I let Quicken know. We'll see what happens.
