american express blue

Hi,

I am looking for a credit card which offers cashback and a couple of friends and web sites recommended american express blue.

If you go onto the amex web site and into the credit card selector, the blue card is not mentioned. However, if you do a google search for amex blue there is a deep link into the amex site and it looks like the blue card is still available

does anyone know what's the deal with this card? - is it such good value that they're trying to keep it under wraps and not promote it, or is the card no longer a going concern (and in this case what's is replacing it)?

TIA

Andy

I'm not sure why you're not seeing the Blue Credit Card listed on the Amex web site. If you go to

formatting link
its listed there under the box "Apply For Another Card" and under the "Compare Credit Cards and Charge Cards here" link. If its cashback that interests you, why not consider the Egg Money card instead. It offers at least as much cashback as the 1% the Amex Blue card gives, and because its a MasterCard you'll find its much more widely accepted than any Amex card.

Several places do not take AMEX Blue. I'd recommend Morgan Stanley Platinum if you qualify for it. 1% cashback for the first £2000 per annum and 0.5% thereafter with a bonus of 2% cashback for new users until November 2006. Posting from Peter Rogers
