My wife got something in the post about it a couple of months ago.

I assume this means they've dampened the bit of string connecting the two systems together and it now works.

Yes, I went to the branch in Trafalgar square today. I asked at the info place if I could pay into a BoS account. The branch advertises itsself as BoS business banking. Of course, after 15 minutes in the queue, of course, I cannot pay cash in. So I asked where this could happen and was told in Threadneedle Street. After wandering up and down said Street, I could not find a BoS branch anywhere. So, I have no idea what the people were talking abou since I asked two questions and was given two wrong answers.

Apologies for that. There is a BoS branch on Threadneedle street, you can see it from Bishopsgate. However it again may be a business banking only one. A quick google provides this information.

Did you try the Halifax? I'm pretty sure there was a letter sent out about paying via Halifax branches to BoS customers very recently, it may be worth phoning the london head office to confirm, before you go trying to convince a cashier of this.

By people I meant the people at the BoS, not people in this NG, if that is why you say the above sentence!!!

I did misread the original message, but my apologies were also about the Trafalgar square branch not taking deposits.
