I am trying to make a new mortgage application and the lender wants to see my last 3 pay slips, my last 3 bank statements and my last mortgage statement. So far I have not been able to find last months bank statement, decembers pay slip and I seem to remember shredding my mortgage statement after reading it. Anyway I can get a new payslip from work but am unsure whether I can get the other two. Can I just walk into Nationwide and ask for a current mortgage statement and then go into natwest and say I never got last months statement?

With "paperless" statements being more and more popular then perhaps printing out your online statement may be acceptable.
Some banks would reproduce your statements, but that service costs money.

I poped into Natwest and they said they would send me a new one for free since I have a graduate account. I think you have to pay if you are a normal customer though.
2-5 is common if you have to pay.

Mine is a graduate account too and they (NatWest) said it would cost me money to get a statement re-issued. That is perhaps because I told them to shred them all at present.

If applicable (and it usually is), you can ask for copies under the Data Protection legislation - max charge is 10 in *total*; but you have to invoke the legislation at the time of the request.
