A while back we had some discussion about the changed T&C for MSDW credit cards, that they would now give 1% cashback on the first £2k and 0.5% beyond that, where it used to be the other way around. I just got my first statement after my cashback year ended and they appear to have reverted to 0.5% cashback as they would under the old scheme. Has anyone else had the same thing? Maybe it was all a mistake? Changing it in that way still seems a bit odd to me.

I understood that they were reducing it to 0.5%. I had the same problem with Halifax, and I excluded MSDW as a possible alternative on that basis. Eventually I settled on More Than's Accucard which gives 0.8%. I understand that Capital One's Cirlces card is also a possible alternative with 1%.
I've just started using my 1% circle card now that morgan stanley has gone down to 0.5%, but the only slightly annoying thing so far seems to be that the credit availiablity does not get updated in "real time".
With morgan stanley your "availiable credit" gets updated as soon as you use the card (even though you still have to wait 2 days for the transaction to show up on your statement, but with circle this does not seem to happen.
Actually it looks as though the date above was the reason, there was a one-month window between the end of my cashback year and the start of the new scheme, but my latest statement does have the 1% cashback. Unfortunately I managed to get a couple of fairly large transactions in the critical period, but c'est la vie ...
