can't set item price

i have installed new RMS and HQ.

every time when i try to set a new item on the HQ database or the POS machine, I type in the info then i set the price, click OK, everything is saved except the price, it goes back to 0.00, no error messages, i have the permission etc...

This is happening in both HQ and in Store Ops? Is it happening from all workstations or is it isolated to one? That is a very odd issue - try reindexing the databases (SO and HQ Administrator, Database/Reindex). If that doesn't fix it, post back with exact steps you are using.

I found a workaround, i go to the inventory wizard, change prices, change regular price, update all prices, then when i go to the items the prices are OK.

tried to reindex, no good.

YES the HQ wants the collation setting to be saved as SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS or Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS and not chinese. This does not stop the typing of settings in chinese etc... Please make sure that all stores and HQ are the same collation setting.
