Cash Drop warning

Sep 09, 2005 2 Replies

We are establishing our store operating procedures. One guideline is that the cashier should not have more than $2500 cash in their drawer. When the register hits that limit, the manager should perform a cash drop, removing $2000 from their drawer and put in the safe.

Is there a way within RMS to setup a cash drop warning, so when the cash hits the $2500 level, a message is displayed on the POS terminal instructing the cashier that their maximum cash on hand has been reached and to prepare for a cash drop? Alternatively (or in addition), send a message the store manager, telling him that register X has reached their maximum cash on hand limit and it is time to perfom a cash drop. I really hope this does not require a third-party add-on.

Bill,

Could you use the Tender Summary report, with management refreshing it every so often?

Matt

This does require a 3rd party add-on. We have this add-on a number of other ones in a bunch called RR Store Misc Utility. If you wish to evaluate this we can arrange this. Please contact me and let me know.
