Connecting to database

Basically, this is the situation... I hope I explain it well..

I have 3 computers that I'm trying to link up. One, which for our case, we'll call the "server". The other two are a notebook and a desktop, so I guess that's what we'll call them. The desktop and the server connect beautifully. The notebook and the server can each connect to the desktop as well, and they can even see each other when I'm in "View workgroup computers", but they cannot connect to each other. So I'm able to run RMS Manager on both the desktop and the server, but Administrator on the notebook won't connect to to the database (or to anything else on the server, for that matter).

I'm using a wireless router.. the desktop is connected to the wireless router by ethernet cable, and the server and notebook are both connected wirelessly.

Use the Client Network Utility to set up a Alias for the PC that runs the SQL database. Also in SO Admin up your time out at the workstations. Not so sure about wireless in a production environment, as it is NOT supported. Good luck. mt
